1991年成立中国兵器工业总公司西南射钉紧固技术研究所。公司拥有58名具有中高级技术职称的射钉紧固器材设计师、工程师，其中享受国家津贴补助专家3名，正高级工程师5名。该中心申请获得国家专利38项，其中：2项发明专利、19项实用新型专利、17项外观专利。
