【国泰航空是哪个国家的品牌?】

国泰航空是什么牌子?「国泰航空」是国泰航空有限公司旗下著名品牌。该品牌发源于香港,在1946期间创立,经过多年的不懈努力和高速发展,现已成为行业的标杆品牌。

国泰航空由美国籍的RoyCFarrell及澳洲籍的SydneyHdeKantzow于1946年9月24日创办。最初,他们均以上海为发展基地,后来决定迁往香港,并成立本航空公司(据说,国泰的名字原是由Farrell及一群外国通讯员于马尼拉酒店的酒吧想出来的!

放眼未来,积极投资

成立初期,国泰开办往返马尼拉、曼谷、新加坡及上海的客运及货运航班,业务发展十分理想。1948年香港最主要的商行之一的Butterfield&Swire(即太古集团前身),收购了国泰的四成半股权。于JohnKidstonSwire的领导下,Butterfield&Swire随即全权负责国泰的营运。

期后10年间,随着国泰引进头等客位及经济客位,机队不断扩展,而且服务日益完善。

全速前进的年代

对于国泰来说,60年代可算是全速前进的年代--由1962年至1967年,业务每年平均跃升20%,成绩斐然。此外,国泰亦再开先河,成为世界第一间为多个日本城市,如大阪、福冈及名古屋等提供国际航班服务的航空公司。

70年代早期,国泰已经陆逐引入最先进的科技,包括电脑化订位系统及飞行模拟驾驶舱。1979年中,第一架波音747-200客机正式到达香港投入服务。而同年年底,国泰申请到飞往伦敦的航权。随着更多波音747客机的加入,机队日趋强大完善,而我们亦将服务扩展至欧洲及北美洲。
光辉岁月

80年代是航空事业的新里程。当时正值全球经济起飞,尤其亚洲的发展更是一日千里,因此商务旅客、游客及货运业务增加的幅度,实属前所未有。国泰亦乘着时代转变与需求,于80年代全速发展国际航线网络,包括往来伦敦、布里斯班、法兰克福、温哥华、阿姆斯特丹、罗马、三藩市、巴黎、苏黎世及曼彻斯特的航班。

虽然经历了10年的繁荣,90年代初期却是航空业的艰苦期。然而,国泰依然屹立航空界,皆因我们深信香港不单是我们的家,更是我们的最佳基地。因此我们无惧逆境,更在此时推出胜人一筹的乘客服务。此外,我们亦作了一个重要的改变--将绿白相间的飞机外观,转为更有时代感及代表性的“笔触”标志,令全世界乘客眼前一亮。
稳守航空界领导地位

90年代中期,国泰已经组成一支全球最先进、最“年轻”之一的机队。但与此同时,我们依然进行机队更换计划,并耗资90亿美元购买全新航机,务求令机队更新、更宁静,亦大大减低维修的需要。

踏入千禧年

国泰总部国泰城在1999年中于香港国际机场落成,这项庞大的计划标志着国泰对香港的前途充满无比信心,带领业务迈向新纪元。

昂然踏入千禧年,我们于2000年录得港币50亿丰厚的溢利,但在往后数年却遇上美国911事件、第二次海湾战争及沙士疫潮等严峻的挑战。

尽管面对艰难的经营环境,我们积极于美国911事件后展开「国泰航空万张机票赠全城」大型香港旅游业推广活动,另外亦举办了「同心为香港」全民运动,以协助重振受沙士严重冲击的香港经济。

同时国泰航空亦透过每天来往伦敦、洛杉矶、纽约、悉尼频密的班次,及增强于其他主要长途及区内航点的服务,加强了香港与其他环球枢纽的联系。

2002年,国泰与DHL达成联营香港华民航空的合作协议,香港华民航空现时拥有八架空中巴士A300货机,受惠特快通宵货运服务,其区内航空网络不断扩展。

2003年12月国泰恢复北京线的客运服务,成为发展航线的里程碑,其后我们陆续开办厦门的客运及上海的货运服务,巩固香港作为中国内地重要门户的地位,为国泰航空的业务揭开新一页。

我们于2000至2005年间致力发展机舱产品,并展开一连串网上服务计划,包括notiFLY航班提示服务、预订机上免税产品服务及网上预办登机服务,务求提升服务素质。

国泰航空的服务水平一向被公认为业界的指标,并赢得多个主要奖项,包括集合全球乘客意见最大型调查选出的2005年度Skytrax「全球最佳航空公司」,及获《AirTransportWorld》月刊选为2006年全球最佳航空公司。

国泰航空于2006年庆祝成立60周年,并宣布为国泰航空集团及香港航空枢纽创建美好将来的计划。

国泰航空及港龙航空

在公司六十周年的同一年,即2006年,在9月28日国泰航空签署协议,与中国国际航空建立更紧密的伙伴关系,彼此持有对方17.5%的股份,同时纳入港龙为国泰航空集团辖下全资附属公司,结合国泰的国际航空网络及港龙覆盖20多个城市的内地网络,大大发挥协同效益。

随后国泰航空集团立即着手整合国泰及港龙的航空网络,加强香港航空枢纽的联系能力。港龙航空自整合后透过国泰庞大的国际航空网络增强其服务,开设共八个新航点,为旅客提供更多选择之余,亦加强巩固香港作为航空枢纽的地位。

展望将来

国泰航空集团,包括港龙及香港华民航空于环球130多个航点运作逾150班航班,我们致力不断扩展以助发展香港作为国际首屈一指的航空枢纽。

国泰航空的机队现正进行大规模的更新计划,30架波音777-300延程飞机订于2012年前付运,成为超长途客机的骨干机队队伍,而且新客机更具燃油效益,在航油价格高企的年代定能带来莫大益处。

为提升机舱产品的质素,国泰航空亦正为所有中途及长途客机进行改装,在头等、商务及经济客舱同时安装新设计的客舱产品,为旅客带来崭新的体验。

我们积极巩固香港作为航空货运枢纽的地位,并投资约48亿港元兴建国泰新货运站,预计于2011年年中启用,每年货物吞吐量可达260万公吨,并会开放予所有航空公司使用。国泰航空的货机机队亦不断扩充,六架全新波音747-400延程货机会陆续付运,此外十架新型波音747-8F货机亦将于2009至2012年间加盟机队,相信更具燃油效益的新货机能为顾客提供更完善的货运服务。

我们一直致力发展航空网络,并于2008年年初大力增强印度的服务,每周加开20班印度航班,另外又于钦奈设立新航点。国泰庞大的国际航空网络,配合港龙于内地完善的网络联系,为旅客提供更方便和多元化的服务,并让香港成为内地重要的门户城市及国际首屈一指的航空枢纽。
