福建省马尾造船股份有限公司创办于1866年(清同治五年)，是中国较早建立的造船企业。
新中国成立后，马尾造船厂如枯木蓬春再度崛起，重新活跃于祖国的船舶工业战线。进入改革开放新的历史时期，马尾造船厂更是青春焕发振兴。

英文翻译：Fujian Mawei shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was founded in 1866 (the fifth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty). It is an early shipbuilding enterprise in China. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Mawei shipyard rose again like a dead tree, and became active in the shipbuilding industry of the motherland. In the new historical period of reform and opening up, Mawei shipyard is full of vitality. Starting from the construction of 5000 ton freighter in the early 1980s, to the 1990s, a batch of multi-purpose container freighter complying with European standards was produced and entered the international market, and the factory continued to climb a new level.
