寰宇国际控股有限公司〔港交所：1046〕於1986年成立，初时成立子公司寰宇镭射录影有限公司、寰宇影片发行有限公司、寰宇娱乐有限公司，负责作录影带及影碟发行。其後组成寰宇电影投资有限公司。

及後於九十年代中，开始涉猎电影制作，成立世纪创作室有限公司，制作《呖咕呖咕新年财》、《半醉人间》、《拥抱每一刻花火》等电影。再成立纵横制作有限公司、数码节目制作有限公司，寰宇影像国际，负责购买旧港产片以发行影碟。

约2000年，成立寰宇电脑科技有限公司、寰宇资讯科技有限公司、寰宇艺人管理有限公司等。

到了2007年，集团夥拍东亚唱片集团携手进军音乐界，合资成立寰宇音乐有限公司，找了著名青春人气偶像江若琳，首次推出《Innocent》(2007年7月26日发行)，数年後再推出《错爱》(单曲碟)，销售量达至8000张。

集团由林小明先生、赵雪英女士创立，集团於1999年7月20日於香港交易所主版上市。
