鼎丰始建于甲子年间公元1864年,清同治三年,浙江海盐人肖兰国与合股人任子欣选址上海莘庄镇,开设鼎丰酱园。随后迁至奉贤区南桥镇,同时吸纳其他合资人,遂改名鼎丰公记酱园。后于清同治五年(即公元1866年)将酱园迁至奉贤县南桥镇东街(现上海鼎丰酿造食品有限公司所在地),自任经理,主要经营酱油、腐乳和酒。该厂生产的“鼎丰腐乳”曾被誉为“进京腐乳”,久负盛名。产品销往华东、华北地区,驰名北京、天津等地。
1952年1月,由奉贤县合作社联合社出资12亿元(折12万元)收购鼎丰酱园,改名为鼎丰酿造厂;1993年,组建成上海鼎丰酿造食品总厂;1997年改制成上海鼎丰酿造食品有限公司。
