It is a window enterprise of Shanghai municipal government in Hong Kong. At present, it is wholly owned by Shanghai SASAC. In June 1993, the company was renamed as "Shanghai industry (Group) Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Shangshi group"). In May 1996, Shanghai Industrial Holding Co., Ltd.
