Ovation,吉他品牌。Ovation雄大的声音能量与各弦之间的声音平衡是精美的,这种面板的厚度与重量分别只有云杉板的三分之一及二分之一,而强度却比后者高出几倍。因此只需很轻微的加固从而比木结他有更好的振动效果。
时至今日,即便在国内的一些大城市,许多人还未必听说过Ovation这种吉他,但如果说起圆底吉他,也许你会说:“是不是星辰那种?”。大概多数人也弹过这种所为的“圆底吉他”(大多数人弹的大都是日本,南韩,甚至天津的产品,而非美国的Ovation吉他---他们之间可以说有相当大的区别),这四个不同地方产的“圆底吉他”,虽然他们的手感,插电后点音色,当然还是价格上有很大的区别,但他们的“木声”(没插电的声音)却都有一个共同的特点:音色富于弹性及穿透力,低音至高音的音色与音量想当平衡,尤其是音频于一般的平底吉他相比,特别丰富悦耳。
30年前,航空材料学的先锋查理`凯门(Charlie Kaman)在吉他材料及工艺方面的革新取得了重要成功,体现了独特“圆底吉他”的Ovation吉他于1966年隆重登场,专业人士在为这种吉他的性能与饱满音色作欢迎的同时,也被这种吉他的惊人设计弄得摸不着头脑。
