大创生活馆第一家直营店于 1991 年在日本香川县开业，随后以多元店的展业策略于日本各地开店，目前已超过 2,750 家店，在日本拥有超过 65% 的市占率，店铺面积 595~6,612 平方米不等。2000 年于台湾设立第一间海外店铺，开始海外据点的扩张，至今海外据点已遍布美国、亚洲、中东、大洋洲及欧洲各国，至 2013 年已有 722 间海外店铺。多样化高质量的实用性商品且拥有物超所值的贩售价格，让大创生活馆在世界各地皆获得高度评价与高销售额。
