昆明虹之华园艺有限公司原为上海种业（集团）上海虹华园艺有限公司于1998年设立的昆明农场。2003年改制后在云南省昆明市注册登记为法人企业，坐落于嵩明云南省花卉示范园区内，拥有600余亩生产经营面积，现有员工300多人。

公司于2005年进入云南省花卉示范园区，入园时建成钢架大棚及配套设施40000多平方，办公用房、宿舍区各200多平米。2006年项目建设增加了钢架大棚及配套设施40000多平米，办公、培训、休息间增加200多平米，2007年项目建设将把钢架大棚及设施增加至100000平米，目前为国内较大的菊苗生产基地。2008年形成180亩（12公顷）各种温室及其配套设施的菊苗插穗专业生产基地，年产8000万颗苗的能力。目前，我公司年产菊插穗过亿枝，已成为我国乃至亚洲较大规模的专业生产基地。

公司主要经营菊苗、菊插穗生产出口，为国内较大的菊苗插穗生产企业，产品95%出口日本，除在云南和上海有鲜切花和种苗种球生产基地外，在海南省有反季节生产基地。还兼营鲜切花、种球生产及出口业务，现每周3批次出口鲜切花。公司可提供高品质的彩色马蹄莲种球、切花；新品种小苍兰种球、切花；灯笼花、雪柳、六初花、牛田草及香精玫瑰；彩云系列彩云玫瑰花、彩云幸福菊、彩云慈祥花、彩云七星花等产品。此外，还承接大棚建设、葬礼布置、婚庆现场布置、菊花花展场景布展等典礼和活动。
