旧时北京城开茶庄的均系南方人,以安徽人为代表,吴字号买卖居多。孙氏为了把茶庄生意做好,在茶行中站稳脚跟,潜心研究茶叶技术,定下了一切货源必须从源头抓好的规矩。在茶叶生产之季,实施监制、监测、监报三级管理制度。即:从源头抓质检,原料在进入生产环节之前一律送国家质检部门进行卫生、农残含量检测。生产中产品进入成品再次质检,不符合质量标准一律不得进入零售区域。进入销售的再次抽样送当地质检站进行检测备案。自1993年成立元长厚茶叶加工厂,开始打造元长厚品牌,经过10年的开发、生产元长厚品牌茶已广为人知。

为了适应新的市场发展,公司在南方选定了元长厚自家茶园,茶园产出的原料均为无污染、天然的产品。并且在当地加工、生产、制作,产品全部符合国家检测标准。
