富美家公司不仅在全球欧、美、澳等地设有公司及生产工厂，同时更重视在亚洲地区的发展。1970年总公司鉴于亚洲地区生活水准的提高及经济的蓬勃发展，为能及时掌握商机，正式在香港设立亚洲区第一个办事处。创立初期，产品均由新西兰直接供应香港、新加坡及台湾等地区。

80年代初期，为了满足亚洲区客户的需求、提升服务品质，于1981年成立台湾氰胺公司富美家建材部，1982年在台湾设立了亚洲第一个制造工厂。除全方位供应市场需求外，更树立了高品质的公司形象。1985年为了能更一步拓展专业服务领域，建立表面饰材领导品牌的地位，全世界富美家公司正式脱离美国氰胺公司的体系。

80年代末期富美家开始在亚洲各地区如新加坡、上海、马来西亚、韩国等地陆续设立办事处，期望建设更完善的服务网络。90年代由于亚洲市场日臻成熟，正式在新加坡、上海、马来西亚、韩国等地成立了公司。截至目前为止，富美家已在亚洲设立了八个公司。

20世纪末亚洲吹起了中国热的风潮，富美家为掌握商机，除于1992年成立了第一个合作企业-上海富丽华公司外，更于1994年成立了合资企业-上海富美家公司，并于上海市青浦县设立了亚洲第二个制造工厂。

1997年为配合产品转及满足更大的市场需求，台湾工厂在总公司的鼎力支持下，扩大厂房面积，增设第三条生产线，推出了大尺寸的产品。此举不仅是产能的提升，亦显现出富美家产品的多元化，除能满足顾客对产品的喜好与利用率，更强化了服务品质与市场的竞争力。

2000年更令人振奋的消息是，富美家公司并购了全世界普斯特公司表面饰材的营运机构。而普斯特在亚洲区泰国曼谷的制造工厂已于五月正式并入富美家的生产行列，使富美家不但能提供更广泛的产品，且能更进一步提升顾客的满意度。
