学校弘扬“立德树人、为国植贤”的办学宗旨，秉承“崇德重智，树人为本”的校训，办学30余年来，努力建设教学服务型大学，着力培养高级应用型人才。目前，学校拥有杭州拱宸桥校区与绍兴杨汛桥校区，总占地1220亩。

学校现有11个二级学院，在校学生16000余名。学校设有42个本科专业。学校教学设备总值1.7亿余元，图书馆藏书约168万册，电子图书约88万种。
