In December 2004, Rael sold most of its shares to the emerald group group. Emerald Group continued to acquire all of the company's shares and took over New Zealand natural in July 2005. They are also responsible for the production and marketing of Movenpick. The emeraldgroup group is owned and managed by Diane foreman. Diane is one of New Zealand's leading entrepreneurs with years of experience in operating and developing multiple international companies.
